Seaprog began in 2013 as the love child of three local music lovers (Dennis Rea, John Reagan, and Jon Davis) who formed The Central Committee. This triumvirate has taken on the bulk of the planning, logistics, and finances to make the festival something for everyone to enjoy. Over the last year or so, it’s become increasingly apparent that the job is too large to be handled effectively by such a small group, so we’re happy (and relieved) to announce the expansion of the Committee to include three new members. For those who have attended our events, these names will not be unknown.
Please welcome Joe Fischer, Dave McLelland, and Tom Prather to the circle of fools involved in this quixotic endeavor. We’re looking forward to taking advantage of their generosity – strike that. We’re looking forward to their help and fresh energy to make the 2018 festival the best yet. Like the founders, they are all local musicians dedicated to bringing creative sounds to the Northwest and shining a light into some neglected corners of the world of music.
