Guitarist Simon Henneman put together UbuludU! as an extension and evolution of his previous band, Cantrip. Moving on from boundary-breaking jazz-rock, the group moved toward a heavier sound, with a fusiony take on stoner rock.

After starting as a five-piece, Spine Readers developed into a Bellingham power trio specializing in all sub-genres of pop music. Their music was wonderfully unpredictable, crashing from melodic rock to crazed funk to thrashing punk-rock.
Fronted by the theatrical vocals of Sean Meyer, the group never failed to be both impressive and entertaining. Meyer’s untimely death brought the band to an end, and they released the Lab Results album in his memory.
