Dates set for Seaprog 2014
We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be carrying the positive energy of this year’s festival forward with a second edition of Seaprog, to be held June 21-22, 2014, again at the lovely Columbia City Theater. The CCT proved to be the ideal venue in every respect, and we were thrilled to hear that they’re eager to host Seaprog again. (There will likely be a Friday kickoff event again as we had this year.) Please note that the organizers need a good long rest and will not even begin to think about artist bookings for a long time to come, so prospective performers, please hold off on submitting to us until such time as we post guidelines (seriously). Onward and upward!
Seaprog 2013 is history!
Coming up for air after a festival that exceeded all expectations — by every meaningful measure, Seaprog was a smashing success. The music was truly world class and frequently astonishing, the venue was ideal and its staff were a marvel, and the community turned out big-time to demonstrate once and for all that there is indeed strong support for this type of adventurous music in Seattle. And they said it couldn’t be done 😉 Boundless thanks to all the musicians, volunteers, staff, and especially the audience, many of whom are so passionate about this music that they traveled from as far as the East Coast to attend. We’ll be glowing for months, and the success of this nutty experiment bodes very well for the future…
