It was back in the distant happy era known as 2012 that the idea of a festival of progressive and experimental genre-defying music for the Northwestern United States was born in a club called Mars Bar. Well, Mars Bar is long gone, but Seaprog lives on.
Since that time, we’ve presented a lot of events, bringing a diverse slate of artists to stages in Seattle. Our latest large event was something we called Cascadence, which brought legendary psychedelic band Gong here for the first time in more than 20 years. In keeping with our goal of supporting local artists, we’ve provided a forum for Northwest musicians creating everything from experimental electronics to progressive metal to math-rock and various flavors of art-rock.
